About Las Hermanas Retreats

Las Hermanas means ‘The Sisters’. Las Hermanas Retreats came naturally to us.

We are Tatiana Borgström Cicchetti and Cat Borgström Reynolds.

We both want to curate retreats and events that welcome all women, to provide a space to guide women, support them, empower them, unite them, and allow them to be.

We want to not only provide retreats that unite women together, to build beautiful connections with one another but to also provide retreats where we ourselves have a special connection with the area itself.

Where we ourselves feel at home.

Beyond the offerings of yoga and coaching to connect the mind, body, and spirit we connect you to the area with guided tours to discover the local history and culture plus workshops to connect with art and of course, we will taste the local food.

We want you to feel at home too.

About Us

Tatiana

I’m half Argentinean and half Swedish and I feel neither from the North nor the South but more of a global citizen. For the last 21 years, I have lived in Italy with my family with a short break of two years in Valencia during The America's Cup. Previously I lived in Mallorca, Barcelona, and Stockholm.

I have three grown-up children and a husband that is an international sailor. He has taken us around the world allowing us to discover the magnificence of a big part of this planet during the Volvo Ocean Race.

Nine years ago after a family dinner in Cervià, I had an inspiring conversation with my sister-in-law Cat. She had had a life coach through her job which had made her change her direction in life. When she talked about this, I understood that it was what I wanted to do. I wanted to become a Life Coach and make a change in people's lives.

For the last 9 years, I have been working as a Life Coach with teenagers, adults, and companies and have written several self-help books. I studied to become a coach at the International Coaching Centre. I have also taught Professional Life Coaching in collaboration with the International Coaching Centre.

I love to help and work with women as I understand our challenges and needs. The idea of doing retreats was born with the intention of working with women’s needs 360 degrees  (mind, body, and spirit).

As a Coach, I can help women emotionally and mentally.  Cat is an experienced yoga and meditation teacher who focuses more on the body and spirit. That’s one of the many reasons why Cat and I make such a good team. We complete each other and working together we have the competencies and the tools to completely empower and nurture women's needs.  I’m looking forward to working with Cat and spending an amazingly relaxing and restoring weekend with you in one of my favorite places, Cervià de Ter.

From Cat:

I started my yoga journey to find balance and reduce my stress levels from working as a busy international advertising producer.

When I first started going to yoga classes, I felt intimidated entering the studio and I always aimed for the mat at the back of the class. I was shy and self-conscious and that is exactly how I felt off the mat too.

Over the years, yoga has helped me become more confident about who I am, be true

to who I am, and find my voice.  As my practice has evolved and gone down various avenues (some dead ends I may add) from practicing to alleviate stress, to developing flexibility and strength, to developing a beautiful breath practice during prenatal yoga whilst I was pregnant with my daughter.

Slowly I discovered how yoga gave me strength not just on the mat but in challenging situations, I discovered that I have not only become more flexible in my body but also in my mind and my outlook. I have slowly become more curious about the subtle body, the energies of the body- the ones you cannot see or touch, the energies that have an effect on our bodies, our minds and the way we feel and react.

Over the past few years, I’ve focused on learning more about softer, more calming practices such as Yin Yoga, Restorative yoga which is the conscious art of relaxation, , I have delved deeper into learning different meditation ‘techniques’, to exploring sound healing and practicing Reiki. I have since held workshops and retreats.

It's been a challenging time for us all but I look forward to offering some techniques to calm the mind, body, and spirit.

I am looking forward to joining Tati and showing the beautiful, magical area of Cervià de Ter to you all, and hope you leave the retreat Relaxed and Restored.

Tati and I formed Hermanas Retreats to bring offerings to women in Catalonia, to bring women together in an environment that we are familiar with and hopefully you can then feel at home too.
